Arrest Made In Connection With Rochester Hills Indecent Exposures

PONTIAC (WWJ) -- The Oakland County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection with a series of indecent exposures that occurred in Rochester Hills between August and September.

The reports were taken from victims who were at the Village of Rochester Hills shopping center at Walton Blvd. and Adams Rd.

Abizer Sakarwala, a 28-year-old Rochester Hills resident, was arraigned on Wednesday and was charged with two counts of aggravated indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person.

Both charges are felonies and are punishable by one day to life in prison. Bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety, no 10 percent.

Sakarwala approached each of the victims in the mall parking lot in silver a 2003 Lexus RX300 and then exposed himself. Sakarwala has indicated he was involved in other incidents in the same geographic area.

The next court is scheduled for October 14. Anyone who may be a victim is asked to contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at 248-858-4911 to file a report.
