Casting Call: Models Wanted For Fall Fashion Show In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Are you runway-ready?

The organizers of the 10th edition of "Walk Fashion Show" are holding a casting call for models this Saturday afternoon in Detroit.

Show producer Daishawn Franklin said they will be showcasing the fall collection at a show next month.

"We have two shows, Franklin told WWJ Newsradio 950's Zahra Huber. "So in the first show, there will be an emerging designer showcase for student designers, and in our first show there will be Walk University, which is our children's show. And in the second showcase, which will be that evening, we'll showcase our Avant Garde ready to wear garments."

Franklin said they're looking for a few different types.

"The walk is kind of unique because we're pretty diverse in our model selection. We take of course the traditional model, but we also have children models, plus-size models...so we're pretty diverse in our model selection because we have different departments where we showcase our walk," she said.

Casting call details:

The casting call takes place Saturday, Oct. 11, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the  Julian Madison Building, 1420 Washington Blvd., Detroit.

Female models should wear skinny jeans or leggings, a tank top and stiletto heels — at least 4 inches high (no wedges or boots).  Male models should wear jeans, a tank top and casual shoes.

Those attending should bring a comp card or professional head shot photo. (If you don't have one, send an email to model@walkfashionshow.com). Those interested who do not have modeling experience must pre-register via email to model@walkfashionshow.com.
