Frenchman Tirole Wins Nobel Economics Prize

STOCKHOLM (AP) - French economist Jean Tirole has won the Nobel prize for economics for research on market power and regulation.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said Monday Tirole "has clarified how to understand and regulate industries with a few powerful firms."
