Missing St. Clair Shores Man Has A History Of Violent Behavior, Police Say

ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - A 24-year-old St. Clair Shores man diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia is missing, and police are asking for the public's help in finding him.

Police say Alexander Mitre has been missing since this past Sunday. This isn't the first time Mitre has walked away from his home. In the past, he walked to Livonia.

Mitre has a history of violent behavior and may have homemade weapons to protect himself, according police. He has not been taking his medication and may be at risk to himself or others.

Mitre is desrvibed as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and around 250 lbs. with brown hair and hazel eyes, a beard and mustache. Mitre wears glasses and was last seen wearing a grey zippered hoodie, black jeans with grey and orange Nike tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the St. Clair Shores police department at 586-445-530.
