CBS DETROIT - Since the Seattle Seahawks traded wide receiver Percy Harvin to the New York Jets, reports have surfaced that trouble between Harvin and teammates - including current Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate - prompted the move.

Former Seahawk Michael Robinson said he broke up a fight between Harvin and Tate the day before the Super Bowl last season.

"Something did go on at the Super Bowl that a lot of fans don't know about," Robinson said, according to CBS Sports. "There was an altercation in the locker room between Percy Harvin and Golden Tate. It saddens me because I was a leader on that team and to know that this information got out -- usually Pete Carroll-coached teams, this type of thing stays in-house. There was an issue, I physically broke it up, I was there, you would have to ask those guys what they were arguing about, I'm not at liberty to talk about it."

Robinson went on to say Tate and Harvin resolved their issues, and Robinson downplayed the incident, saying that type of thing happens all the time and bemoaning the fact it became public.

The story evidently started with Houston radio host Lance Zierlein.

Tate joined the Lions in free agency this season.
