ALLEN PARK (CBS DETROIT) - The NFL wants a team in London. If the league gets its wish, Detroit Lions safety Glover Quin hopes he will not be on that team.

"It seems complicated," Quin said Monday. "How would that work? Do we have to make those long trips every week? Would we get taxed in London? That's horrible. Would we get paid in pounds? ... How does that work? It's a lot of things that go into that. I've heard rumors about they'll have a main base here in the States that takes care of all the day-to-day stuff, working out players and things of that nature, and then they'd just play over there, but still, every time you've got a home game - the NFL would have to do something with the schedule, like three home games in a row and four away games in a row. That's going to not be good for that team. Hopefully if they do do that, hopefully I'm not on that team. Eesh. That's a tough situation.

"I just hope I'm not a guy that's on that team because that doesn't sound like fun, just from thinking about it," Quin added. "And the NFL, these guys are smart, so they're not going to do it unless it works, but at some point, in my opinion, if you're going to have a team in London, at least eight times you're going to have to make that flight, either home games, away games, you've got to fly to London for a preseason game? That doesn't sound like a good idea."

Asked if the NFL Players Association might have something to say about a team in London, Quin smiled.

"They might," Quin said.

The Lions play the Atlanta Falcons in London on Sunday, and that game will be the second of three NFL games this season at Wembley Stadium. The Oakland Raiders and the Miami Dolphins played in London in week four, and the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars will play there in week 10.
