4-Year-Old Chad Carr, Battling Brain Tumor, Gets Superhero Theme Song

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - The young grandson of former University of Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, who is battling an inoperable brain tumor, now has his own theme song featuring the Michigan men's basketball team

"Chad Tough: A Superhero Theme Song"— written and performed by young local singing stars Ariel, Zoey and Eli, Too — turns 4-year-old Chad Carr into a superhero.

Ariel, Zoey, and Eli's father, Matt Engelbert, explained how the name, and the song, came about.

"Chad's mom is using hashtag 'ChadTough' for social media; I said your super hero name is Chad Tough," Engelbert told WWJ's Zahra Huber. "And the next morning, within a half hour, they had written the song and I was already out in meetings assembling a team that would help them put it together."

"We needed to have Chad in the video," said Engelbert,"and when the kids wrote the song we decided that Chad had to have the last line - he had to have the last word, so his dad, Jason gets the credit for filmming of Chad and Chad and his brothers."

Proceeds from the sale of the "Chad Tough" song will be given to the Carr family, and anything leftover will go to Frank Cancer Research for Children.

"I know the kids are proud of it but it's because of Chad - he's just so inspiring when you see his face and you can't help but fall in love with this little kid - he needs a miracle here. So if this songs helps in any way, we are thrilled," said Engelbert.

The new song is available at HERE at cdbaby.com, iTunes and Amazon.  Check out Ariel & Zoey & Eli's Facebook page, HERE.
