New Trail Blazers Court Features Names Of Season Ticket Holders [PHOTO]

The Portland Trail Blazers will unveil their new court design tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Portland held a "create the court" contest last spring in which fans voted on a variety of color schemes, logos, etc. The court will also feature the names of season ticket holders. The official statement reads:

"Just as our team is not complete without you, neither is our court. In honor of you, the fans who always stood beside us, we would like to include your Season Ticket Holder account name on the newly designed playing surface. Your name will be integrated into the fresh design and unveiled on opening night! Now, every home game this season will feature the entire Trail Blazers team, including you."

The season ticket holders names are spelled out within the "Rip City Oregon" text on the court.

This is a brilliant public relations move, in my opinion. It establishes a personal relationship with their fans and connects them together.
