Police: 12-Year-Old Girl Stabs 9-Year-Old Sister
EMMETT TWP. (WWJ/AP) - Police say a 12-year-old girl stabbed her 9-year-old sister multiple times at a mobile home park in southern Michigan.
Officers responded around 5:40 a.m. Wednesday to Triangle Mobile Home Park in Calhoun County's Emmett Township.
The girl was treated for stab wounds to the face, neck and chest before being taken to a hospital for treatment. Her injuries were described as non-life threatening.
The 12-year-old was taken into custody and was being held at a juvenile detention facility.
Police didn't immediately know what led to the stabbing. The incident remains under investigation.
