$1,000 Reward Offered For Tips In Case Of Chelsea Bruck, Missing In Monroe County

MONROE (WWJ) - Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 in the case of a Monroe County woman who disappeared during a Halloween party.

Family and friends are joining authorities on Monday in the search for 22-year-old Chelsea Bruck, of Maybee, Michigan, who was last seen early in the morning of Oct. 26 at a party attended by more than 500 people in French Town Township.

On a "Find Chelsea Bruck" Facebook page, Chelsea's sister Megan posted a message thanking searchers and the public for their support. It reads, in part:  "The volume of shares, comments, and posts of people asking how they can help is incredible... If you cannot go out and search feel free to stop into the head quarters at the Monroe bank and trust on Swan Creek Rd. at the Newport exit and give my mom a hug.

"We will be out there again tomorrow (Monday) starting at 9 a.m. Please come out and contribute in any way you can. The atmosphere over there is very positive. If you know my family at all we are always up for a laugh. And we do need to laugh between the tears."

According to Monroe County Sheriff's officials, a witness came said he saw Bruck at approximately 3 a.m. that Sunday with an unknown white male with a medium build, medium-length dark hair, a thin mustache, and other facial hair. He was wearing a plain black hooded sweatshirt with no visible logo and black framed glasses.  A sketch (below) was drawn up of the man.

Bruck is a white female with blond hair, around 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 140 lbs. with a small tattoo of an anchor behind her right ear. She was last seen wearing a "Poison Ivy" Batman character costume, which consisted of black tight-fitting yoga pants or leggings, a green ivy leaf-covered top, and a long, dark purple wig.

According to the witness, Bruck and the unknown man were seen walking toward cars were parked nearby the party. It's still unknown whether she got into a vehicle and drove off with him.

Investigators want to speak with anyone who was at the party who may have seen Bruck or who might recognize the unknown man. Anyone who has seen Bruck, the man in the sketch, or who has any information about this case is urged to call  the Monroe County Sheriff's Office at 734-240-7700, Monroe County Central Dispatch at 734-243-7070 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
