Digital Deal Developer ReapSo Announces New App That Connects Fans With Brands

By Edward Cardenas

FARMINGTON HILLS (CBS Detroit) - A Metro Detroit-based technology company has released a new version of its mobile app which allows fans to connect with brands, and win prizes.

ReapSo, founded nearly two years ago, initially focused on digital deal distribution in southeast Michigan. It's grown beyond its hometown to 50 states and Puerto Rico.

"It is now a mobile platform that allows fans to connect with brands," said Bill Wildern, CEO and co-founder of  ReapSo, which is available on iOS based devices. "Consumers can win, vote and save with brands that they enjoy."

Wildern added that his company has fulfilled over 200 prizes in the past year by a "pretty enthusiastic following of people who like to win things."

Following the success of the initial version of the app, ReapSo has developed a new version of the app with"the vote" portal which allows users to interact with television, radio and other media on their mobile devices, enter sweepstakes and contests along with answering questions and sharing results with friends and get instant deals.

Additionally, the new version of the app allows companies to "take the pulse of the audience" by answering trivia questions, conducting polls and other engagement efforts. The company is currently running a test on the app with NBC-TV's "The Voice" tracking what is going on the television and posting, along with the event, content people can vote on, along with local radio and television stations.

"We are trying to prove out that the technology is engaging and works with the audience," Wildern said, who is hoping to work with additional broadcasters. 97.1 The Ticket is among the company's clients.

He hopes to get "fans really excited about what is going on and provide them some sort of perk in the process."
