Mark Dantonio and his players are asking for Spartan Nation to be as loud as they possibly can on Saturday night when Michigan State takes on Ohio State.
Safe to say, a lot rides on this game for both programs. Both teams are undefeated in the Big Ten and both are trying to make their way into the top four in the college football playoffs.
I have argued this week that this is quite possibly the biggest game the Spartans have played since 1966.
Hear me out. If Michigan State wins against Ohio State and wins out -- meaning they win the Big Ten Championship game -- they have a shot to be in the college football playoff and a chance to play for a National Title.
Yes, I know Michigan State played in the Rose Bowl last season, but to me the Rose Bowl and National Title are worlds apart. MSU won a Rose Bowl and now they have a shot to do something they haven't since 1966 and that's win a National Title.
Maybe I'm nuts, but it's just one man's opinion.
