CBS Detroit Wins 'Cool Workplace' Award From Crain's Detroit
By Christy Strawser
It's not breaking news around here, but CBS Detroit is a very cool place to work.
It's just official now.
Crain's Detroit released its annual list of the coolest places to work in metro Detroit and CBS Detroit Radio was among those featured in the large workplaces category.
The award recognizes the company that operates your favorite radio stations -- including WWJ 950, 97.1 The Ticket, WOMC, WYCD, and 98.7 AMP Radio.
Crain's picked 75 local companies for the award, based on an employee survey. Overall, they were searching for companies with an "employee friendly culture."
In addition to being the kind of place where anyone from the governor to, well, a dinosaur, can pay a visit, CBS Detroit was recognized for its staff parties, and intra-company website that lets employees nominate each other for recognition, which earns points they can spend on tickets to big games, concerts, gift cards and more.
