Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again which means it's time for construction crews to hit the roads.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

**Ongoing work continues at the I-94/I-69 interchange in Port Huron and the M-1 route in Detroit.

I-96:

In Oakland County, east and west I-96 west of Milford Road will have intermittent closures from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday for utility work.

In Oakland County, east and west I-96 at Old Plank Road will have intermittent closures from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday for utility work.

I-94:

In Wayne County, east and west I-94 between Chene and Conner streets will have a right lane closure from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for freeway lighting work.

M-10: (Service Drive)

In Wayne County, south M-10 Service Drive from McNichols to Meyers will have two lanes closed from 4 p.m. Saturday through April 2015 for road repair.

M-5: (Grand River)

In Wayne County, east M-5 (Grand River Ave.) at McNichols will have two lanes closed from 9 a.m. Thursday to 3 p.m. Tuesday for utility work.

M-8: (Davison Fwy)

In Wayne County, west M-8 (Davison) ramp to Oakland St. and M-1 (Woodward) will have daily lane closures from 9 a.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Saturday for service drive work.

In Wayne County, west M-8 (Davison) from I-75 to Oakland St. will have right lane closed from 9 a.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Saturday for road work.

M-29:

In St. Clair County, north and south M-29 (N. Riverside Ave.) between Clinton Ave. and Brown St. will be closed from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday for parade.
