AT&T Ranks Highest At Metro Airport For Data Performance

ROMULUS (CBS Detroit) - AT&T is high-flying when it comes to data performance at Detroit Metro Airport.

According to a study by Seattle-based RootMetrics, an independent mobile analytics firm, AT&T wireless customers at Metro Airport utilize a network ranked highest for data performance.

"Our customers rely on staying connected while they travel," said Brian Ducharme, vice president/general manager for AT&T in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, in a release. "They want to get in touch with colleagues, family, and friends before they leave or as soon as they walk off the plane. With AT&T, customers can read email, send photos, check the news, and much more while traveling."

RootMetrics conducted a wireless data performance study for Metro, and ranked it tops at Metro Airport for data performance.

AT&T stated that it has conducted network enhancements including  4G LTE coverage and a Distributed Antenna System at DTW – which are strategically placed antennas that distribute AT&T's wireless network coverage at the airport that provides better coverage to customers.
