Reward Increases To Over $17,000 For Information On Missing Woman Chelsea Bruck

NEWPORT, MI (WWJ) -- The reward in the case of a Monroe County woman who disappeared after attending a Halloween Party has been increased once again. Crime Stoppers is offering $17,265 for information leading to Chelsea Bruck's safe return.

Chelsea Bruck, 22, has been missing since Oct. 26, when apparently she walked away from a Halloween party at a rural farmhouse on Post Road in Frenchtown Township during the early morning hours.

Anthony Jones of Crime Stoppers joined Chelsea Bruck's family for a press conference Monday in Newport near Monroe to announce the increase in reward money.

Leannda Bruck, Chelsea's mother, said that volunteers have been leaving flyers on people's doors, as they continue to search for her daughter.

"I don't want it to be 10 days, I don't want it to be 10 weeks," Leannda Bruck said. "But if it takes 10 years we will not give up."

Chelsea Bruck was last seen wearing a "Poison Ivy" Batman character costume, which consisted of black tight-fitting yoga pants or leggings, a green ivy leaf-covered top, and a long, dark purple wig.

Sheriff's officials said a witness reported seeing Chelsea Bruck walking away from the party at around 3 a.m. with an unknown man. The pair was spotted walking toward where cars were parked, according to the witness, but it's unknown whether or not they left together.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
