U-M: 11 Sex Misconduct Violations Over 12 Months

ANN ARBOR (AP) - The University of Michigan says that students made 129 sexual misconduct complaints in one 12-month period, and it found 11 violations of school policy.

The Ann Arbor school released a public report Monday on campus sexual misconduct. The report on the 12 months ending June 30 is to be the first such annual report.

The report says that Michigan expelled one student during the year.

Michigan and Michigan State University have been under investigation by the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights for their handling of sexual assaults.

The report from Michigan's Office for Institutional Equality shows 68 complaints were for sexual assault, 34 for sexual harassment, 18 for stalking, two for retaliation and 11 for other matters.
