Detroit Dominates NAIA's Aquinas College 109-59

DETROIT (AP) — Juwan Howard Jr. made 10 of 11 field goal attempts for 20 points to lead Detroit to a 109-59 win over NAIA's Aquinas College on Monday night.

Paris Bass and Brandan Kearney had 17 apiece and Carlton Brundidge added 14 for the Titans.

Howard is now just 20 points away from making 1,000 points in his Detroit career.

Detroit (5-3) jumped out to a 29-15 lead midway through the first half, pushed that to 60-34 at the half and were rolling 88-48 with 10:42 left in the game.

The Titans nailed 12 of 22 3-point attempts and made 41 of 68 field goal attempts (60.3 percent) while limiting the Saints to 39.3 percent. Detroit also won the rebound battle, grabbing 41 compared to 24 for the Saints.

Jake Bullock led the Aquinas with eight points. The Saints were forced into 23 turnovers.
