Mark Hackel's State Of The County Address To Be Available Virtually

CLINTON TOWNSHIP (CBS Detroit) - Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel will deliver his State of the County address Wednesday to those in attendance at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and the world through social media.

The invitation-only event at Macomb Community College in Clinton Township is not open to the public, but will be available to Macomb County residents - and a greater audience - through technology.

Hackel's 6 p.m. speech, which is expected to focus on the first four years of the executive form of government and lay the foundation for Macomb County's future, will be streamed live Wednesday on the homepage of Macomb County's website. 

Additionally highlights of the speech will be tweeted on Macomb County's news Twitter account @MacombNewsNow, and a #MacombSOC hashtag has been established for the event for those discussing the speech on social media.

Two new Make Macomb Your Home videos will also debut during the event.

The State of the County speech will also be available for replay on www.macombgov.org.
