Automation Alley Launches Redesigned Website

By Edward Cardenas

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Automation Alley has launched a redesigned website which has been streamlined and provides easier access to information about the technology business association for visitors, and improved features for members to post information on the site.

According to association officials, the redesigned automationalley.com is easier to navigate and improved to "promote Southeast Michigan as a leading technology hub."

"When we set out to build a new website, our number one priority was to simplify functionality for our members," said Automation Alley Executive Director Ken Rogers, said in  release. "Whether you're simply looking for information on one of our programs, registering for an event or posting a press release, you're going to have a more positive user experience. We're pleased with the results and hope you are, too."

Automation Alley, which is a technology business association and business accelerator, was founded in 1999 and grown to include nearly 1,000 businesses, educational institutions, government entities and nonprofit organizations from the city of Detroit and the surrounding eight-county region.

The association provides tools including networking opportunities, meeting space and public relations tools to members.

The redesigned website also makes it easier for association members to post their news, events and discounts from their member profiles. Later this month, the website will feature a blog focused on business ideas.

Troy-based High Monkey, an Automation Alley member, designed and developed the new website.
