Woman Finds Car Covered In Glue After Dispute Over Parking Spot At Walmart

STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) - Authorities are investigating after a dispute over a parking spot outside a Macomb County Walmart ended with a car covered in glue.

The incident unfolded around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Walmart store on 14 Mile Road and Van Dyke in Sterling Heights.

According to police, a woman had been waiting for a parking spot but when the spot opened up, another car took the space.

The woman told police that when the driver -- a black male with long black hair -- exited his vehicle, the two "exchanged words." She then found another parking spot and went into the store.

After shopping, the woman returned to her vehicle to find "Elmer's glue poured all over the driver's side door," police said.

Investigators reviewed the store's security footage and believe the man involved in the parking altercation is responsible for the vandalism. He was driving a black Chrysler 300 at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the incident is urged to contact police at 586-446-2800.
