Semi-Truck Crashes Through Median On I-75
LINCOLN PARK (WWJ) - A stretch of I-75 is closed in both directions Downriver after a semi-truck crashed through the median wall.
The accident happened early Tuesday morning on I-75 and Outer Drive, in Lincoln Park.
According to police, the semi-truck was traveling northbound when the driver apparently lost control and "ping-ponged" off the embankment wall into the median wall. The truck jackknifed and went through the median wall into the southbound lanes. The crash left debris from the median scattered across the freeway.
Authorities said the truck's load remained intact during the crash. No injuries were reported.
It's unclear how long the freeway will remain closed while authorities clean up the scene.
