St. Clair Shores Man In Custody After Fatal Shooting
ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - A 40-year-old man is in police custody after a fatal shooting at a home in St. Clair Shores.
The shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. Thursday in the 22000 block of 10 Mile Road, between Harper and Jefferson avenues.
Police responded to the home after receiving a report about shots fired and arrived to find a 30-year-old Eastpointe man suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest. The man, whose name was not released, was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police say the suspect is a St. Clair Shores man who knew the victim, although they did not discuss a possible motive.
The case is expected to be handed over to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office for review.
