Officials Search For Missing 22-Year-Old Transgender Warren Man

WARREN (WWJ) -- Equality Michigan is asking for help in locating Jay Ralko, a 22-year-old missing Warren area resident.

Ralko was last seen on December 10 driving a Charcoal Gray Ford Escape, plate number CJK7951 with chrome pipe running boards and rain deflectors on the windows. Ralko disappeared after asking his roommate to temporarily watch his dog while he "took care of an emergency."

Family members say Ralko is bi-polar and suffers from depression. Ralko's mother, Sherri Amorello believes her son is alive.

"I believe he's ill, my gut feeling tells me that he's in a hospital somewhere ans I'm praying that he is," Amorello said. "We have a detective involved -- he's been to his workplace, questioning at the workplace. He's called hospitals, we've called hospitals, we've been to hospitals. We've been to places that he'd been before -- parks -- anywhere we can think of that he's been."

Anyone with information is asked to call Equality Michigan at 313-466-4345 or Warren Police at 586-574-4700.
