Trio Of Detroit Lions Make Pro Bowl

DETROIT (AP/WWJ) - A trio of Detroit Lions has made the Pro Bowl.

A combination vote from the fan, players and coaches have voted in receiver Calvin Johnson, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and safety Glover Quin.

The game will be played Sunday, January 25, in Arizona, one week ahead of the Super Bowl.

For Quin, it's his first Pro Bowl nod in his sixth season in the league. He's the first Lions defensive back since Dre Bly (2004-05) to be selected and first Lions safety since Bennie Blades (1992).

He currently leads the NFL with seven interceptions.

He also has 65 tackles and 10 passes defended on the year.

For Johnson and Suh, it's their fifth and fourth selections, respectively.

Suh has 8.5 sacks on the season, fourth most among defensive tackles and leads all defensive tackles with 35 quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.

He has a career-high 20 tackles for loss this year, the most of his career.

Johnson's five straight Pro Bowls are the most by a Lions player since running back Barry Sanders (10, 1990-99).

He has 67 catches for 1.038 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games.
