Harbaugh Going To U-M: 'It's Going To Happen' According To Report [Podcast]

DETROIT (WWJ) - Multiple reports say San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh will accept a deal to coach at the University of Michigan. One New York Times best-selling author John U. Bacon says the deal is already done, though an official contract has not been signed.

"The agreement has been reached, they know the terms, it's going to happen," said Bacon. "Harbaugh and his family are flying from California tomorrow to Ann Arbor - the contract, I believe, has not been signed which only makes sense because he's still under contract for San Francisco."

Having said that, Bacon reminds us the two previous U of M head coaches, Brady Hoke and Rich Rodriguez, both came to Ann Arbor without a (signed) contract.

"Bo Schembechler, my friend, did it with a handshake for 21 years, but those days are over," said Bacon.

Harbaugh is coaching the 49ers Sunday afternoon in San Francisco. They're hosting the Arizona Cardinals.
