Registration Now Open For Michigan Virtual Career Fair

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Job seekers can now register for the Pure Michigan Talent Connect MiVirtualCareerFair which features more than 30 Michigan employers.

The event, which will be held from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, is free for job seekers who can take part in the career fair from their home, library or mobile phone.

Registration information can be found at the Michigan Talent website, and during the event, participants can:

  • Communicate in group chats and private chat messages with employers.
  • Upload, view, and search for job postings and apply directly from the site.
  • Interact with other participants in the Networking Lounge.
  • Explore career development resources in the Resource Lounge.
  • Talk with Pure Michigan Talent Connect Staff about their job search and learn more about utilizing MiTalent.org for a job search.
  • The Michigan Non-profit Association will provide assistance and resources to those interested in the non-profit sector.
  • Veterans can connect with staff at the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) booth to learn about veterans benefits in Michigan.
  • Access archived job openings for 30 days after event.

Employers who are scheduled to participate include AutoForm Engineering USA, Inc.,
DTE Energy, LaFontaine Automotive Group, Quicken Loans, Shinola and TRW Automotive.
