Dan Leach's 2015 NFL Locks: Super Bowl XLIX Edition

By Dan Leach
@dtmleach

The Super Bowl is finally here and this is where the #DTMPREDICTIONMACHINE takes it to another level. I have been on fire for you all year long, each and every week to help you win your pick-em-pool, embarrass your friends, and just become a more whole football fan and human being. This is where the #spacecoat and I end your season on a scorching high note. It's been a fun ride and next season can't start soon enough, but first let's get this party started!!!!! And....Here....We....Go!

DTM Song Of The Week: "Roar" Katy Perry

There is no better song to announce a Super Bowl pick then with this year's halftime show performer's invigorating anthem. It's even the betting favorite in Vegas as the first song Perry performs at halftime. No matter what part of the halftime show she belts out "I got the eye of the Tiger," when it happens, it will be majestic just like the singer's eyes, smile, hair, chest and voice.

New England Patriots Vs. Seattle Seahawks 6:05 PM EST Sunday TV NBC (Hawks -7.5)

Well...here...we....go! This is what you fight hard for in OTA's and training camp, throughout a gritty and harsh regular season, to have a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy late Sunday night in Glendale, Arizona and be called a World Champion. For Brady and the Pats they have had to deal with #Shrinkage questions for the past two weeks, but with a win could have a coach and a QB widely considered the greatest of all-time. The Seahawks didn't have to deal with DeflateGate grilling, but had their star running back turn into the Grinch that wouldn't talk to the media.

What's been lost in the shuffle though is the fact that we legitimately have the best two teams in football going after each other for American sports' biggest prize. What isn't being talked about as far as the game goes is the Pats defense, which is much better then many give it credit for. That is going to be the key in this one as the hawks are just lucky to be in this spot after Russell Wilson's awful play through three plus quarters against Green bay in the NFC Title Game.

That is where this game will be won and lost as Wilson will come out struggling from the start and the Pats will pounce on that to take a lead and never look back. Brady will look like he did in his 20's and the New England offense led by Rob Gronkowski will make the Hawks D look like a shade of itself in what will end up being a rout when all is said and done. Whether or not you think Brady and the Pats are cheaters, they will leave no doubt in the crisp desert air on Sunday night that they are the best team in football and will make a case that their QB and coach are two of the best in the history of football.
