Coast Guard Rescues 2 In Ohio Who Fell Through Ice

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Coast Guard officials in Ohio say they will examine a Lake Erie bay and monitor for pollution after crews rescued two people who fell through the ice with their snowmobiles over the weekend.

The U.S. Coast Guard Ninth District in Cleveland says two people were stranded early Sunday morning in Maumee Bay near the Michigan border after falling through the ice on their snowmobiles. Two others who had fallen through the ice were able to climb to shore to get help.
