By: Mike Stone

For people such as Rivals.com's Mike Farrell, national signing day is their Super Bowl. It is the day that culminates years of recruiting a particular class. Farrell believes that Michigan State had a tremendous class, saying " MSU continually gets kids who fit their program, play hard and develop as good as anyone." As for the standouts of this class, Farrell likes running back L.J. Scott and the Dowell twins from Ohio and thinks quarterback Brian Lewerke could be "special", reminding him of a "smaller Connor Cook".

As for Michigan, Farrell thinks that "expectations were too high for Jim Harbaugh to come in and get kids to who developed three year relationships with coaching staffs." He also understands that,"it is a disappointing finish not being able to flip Webber and Clark, but that was unrealistic from the start."
