Sports Illustrated Ranks Lions-Vikings Game As One Of The Year's Worst

The 2014 season for the Detroit Lions really did produce some great highlights.

They made the playoffs with a 11-5 record. Matthew Stafford returned to form, and Joique Bell is really starting to become a premier back in the NFL.

Darius Slay turned into the corner that the Lions thought he would be when they drafted him. Golden Tate put up career numbers and Calvin was well, Megatron.

At the end of the year, the season ended on a bad note when the Lions lost to the Dallas Cowboys. We all know what happened there, I won't make you re-live it.

Sports Illustrated put out a list of the worst NFL games for the 2014 season. The Lions made the list.

SI ranked the Cardinals and Panthers game the worst of the year, and I completely agree with that. What a boring game.

The Lions made the list with their week 6 win against the Minnesota Vikings.

Detroit's defense quite literally brought Bridgewater back to earth two weeks later, sacking him eight times and coming away with three interceptions. The Lions went 1-for-13 on third down, endured a 1-for-3 performance on field goals from Matt Prater -- who had just been brought in earlier that week to serve as the team's third kicker of the season -- and still won this game comfortably.
