New Information, Including 911 Call, Released In Fatal Ann Arbor Shooting [AUDIO]
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) -- Materials and information collected following the shooting death of 40-year-old Aura Rosser during a confrontation with police in Ann Arbor was released on Monday.
The package included shooting scene photos, police interviews and a recording of the original 911 call with Rosser's ex boyfriend Victor Stephens. Authorities say Rosser confronted officers with a knife as they responded to a call at Stephens' home on November 9 where she was shot once in the chest.
Minutes before Rosser was shot, Stephens called 911 alleging she had attacked him.
Rosser's mental health records were not included in the documents released. Prosecutor Brian Mackie said that officer David Ried would not be charged in Rosser's slaying, which prompted protests in Ann Arbor.
More documents -- including photos, recordings of police radio traffic and video of witness interviews -- are expected to be made available in the future.
