You're Invited: 'Straight Talk' With Local Journalists This Saturday
DETROIT (WWJ) - WGPR-TV Historical Society and the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists are inviting the community to "Straight Talk,"
The event will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Detroit Historical Museum.
Participating journalists include WWJ City Beat Reporter Vickie Thomas; WWJ Midday Producer and Entertainment Reporter Terri Lee; WXYZ-TV Anchor Carolyn Clifford; Felecia Henderson, Assistant Managing Editor at The Detroit News; and Mildred Gaddis of WCHB-AM: NewsTalk 1200. The event will be moderated by Amyre Makupson, former news anchor and Director of Public Affairs at WKBD-TV.
This Black History event is a fundraiser for the WGPR-TV Historical Society in partnership with the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
