Justin Verlander appeared on SportsCenter this morning to do an interview with ESPN's Karl Ravech and John Kruk.

Ravech and Kruk spoke to Verlander in Lakeland, Florida where the Tigers spring training is held. They talked to him about a variety of topics such as his health, spring training goals, and Detroit's lineup.

However, at the end of the interview, for some reason, Ravech felt like he had to ask Verlander about his girlfriend, Kate Upton.

Ravech said, "Before we send it back to the SportsCenter crew, I can just hear in my ear, and buzzing around, because the video game with Kate Upton is so present on ESPN, what your thoughts are on that."

Verlander awkwardly laughed and noted that they asked him a similar question about Upton last spring. He said, "Well, I'm going to leave that to you."

Ravech and Kruk continued to go on-and-on about the Kate Upton "Game of Wars" video game.

Verlander, again, awkwardly laughed and told them that every year they just have to ask him something about her.

Ravech excessively talked about how often the Game of Wars commercial is on ESPN, and then Kruk jumped in and explained how it's not just on ESPN and he sees Kate Upton because he plays a trivia game that features the advertisement as well.

Verlander acknowledged that he sees the commercial too, and Kruk and Ravech were fascinated that this commercial must be everywhere.

Ravech finally closed the discussion by comparing Justin Verlander and Kate Upton to Tom Brady's relationship with Gisele. Verlander did not say a word.

While Justin was polite and cordial about this exchange, it was painstakingly hard to watch because of how awkward and uncomfortable it was.
