Tinder Offers Premium Services, Older Users To Pay More

By Edward Cardenas

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Dating app Tinder has unveiled a new premium feature that will allow users to connect globally and take back a left swipe, but it will come at a price.

The company unveiled Tinder Plus Monday, which gives users access to features including Passport, Rewind, as well as unlimited liking capabilities.

Tinder allows users to connect with others by swiping right on Tinder, or left on a connection to pass.

With the new Passport feature, users can change their location to anywhere around the world and connect globally.

"Passport creates real, one-on-one connections with people across the globe,' the company wrote in a blog post. "Whether you're planning vacations and business trips or simply expanding your social network, with Passport, you're swiping before you arrive."

The new Rewind allows users take back their last swipe. If someone swiped left, the person is no longer gone forever. With a touch of a button, the action can be taken back.

Additionally,Tinder Plus gives power users who want to express interest in a large number of people unlimited liking capability.

These new features come at a cost. Tinder Plus costs $19.99 for users older than 30, and $9.99 for those under 30, according to Tech Crunch.

The company reports there are more than 850 million swipes and more than 10 million matches made on Tinder daily.
