Police Find Person Of Interest In Connection To Murder In Troy

TROY (WWJ) - Police have found the ex-boyfriend of murder victim, 21-year-old Jamila Vigier-Cage. Twenty-four-year-old Cory Mullen is considered a person of interest in connection with the case.

Sunday afternoon, Troy police released a statement that they had found Mullen in Detroit and were in the process of questioning him.

Troy Police Sergeant Andy Breidenich told WWJ Newsradio 950  that authorities believe Mullen was in the car with the victim:

"She was outside in her car and we believe there was another person in the car and shots were fired at her and when we arrived, she was deceased," said Breidenich.

Vigier-Cage of Auburn Hills was found shot to death in the parking lot of One Source Talent Agency in Troy where she worked.

Breidenich said the department had been using multiple agencies and investigators to assist Troy police investigators.
