Southfield Police Search For Suspected Bank Robber With Missing Teeth

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Police in Southfield are asking for the public's help in identifying a distinctive looking man suspected of robbing a bank.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. last Wednesday at the Huntington Bank branch on Greenfield Road, just north of 9 Mile Road.

Police say the suspect, believed to be about 60-years-old, approached a teller with a note demanding money. The teller complied with the suspect's demand and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Police say a weapon was not involved in the crime.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium to dark complexion, about 6' tall and 190 pounds with an unshaven face. Witnesses told police the man has very bad teeth, with some teeth missing and one noticeably crooked. He was wearing a dark knit hat, blue hooded sweatshirt with white strings, a dark-colored work coat, dark pants and dark shoes.
