2 Michigan Men Presumed To Be Among The Dead In Military Helicopter Crash

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) -A military helicopter that crashed in heavy fog near the Eglin Air Force Base in Florida Tuesday night killed seven Marines and four soldiers. It is believed that two Michigan men are among the dead.

The helicopter was on a training missing in the Florida Panhandle when it crashed.

Twenty-seven-year old Marcus Baywal, formerly of Warren, died in the crash and
according to the Holland Sentinel, a source in North Carolina said Sgt. Andrew Seif, a 2006 West Ottawa High School graduate, was one of seven Marines and four soldiers aboard an Army helicopter that crashed during the night-time training mission Tuesday, March 10.

Baywal was part of a U.S. Marines special operations regiment from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina who had completed two tours in Afghanistan.

Baywal was engaged to be married in October.
