Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with skilled trade associations; register with Detroit Employment Solutions for construction jobs; learn about training and financial aid programs available; get assistance with GED preparation and testing; and connect with community resources that can offer help with childcare, legal assistance and more.

Olympia Development of Michigan will also conduct onsite interviews for parking attendant positions needed for the Detroit Tigers 2015 season. Additionally, Barton Malow Hunt & White, the General Contractor for the new Detroit Events Center, will be accepting applications for construction jobs that will come online in the next several months.

"We are committed to ensuring that Detroiters benefit from this transformational initiative," Christopher Ilitch, President and CEO of Ilitch Holdings, said in a statement. "With at least $100 million in job-related income expected for Detroiters through construction of the Detroit Events Center alone, these job fairs are another important step in bringing opportunity to our community as this development comes to life."
