Gov. Rick Snyder Gets Around On Scooter Recovering From Achilles Injury
SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Governor Rick Snyder, still recovering from an Achilles injury from January, visited CBS Radio Friday to drum up support for Proposal 1.
WWJ Newsradio 950's morning news anchor Roberta Jasina captured a few seconds of video of him getting around the studio on a scooter between interviews in Southfield.
The injury which tore his right Achilles tendon put the Governor in a cast for 6 weeks. He was jogging during a vacation in Florida.
"... I was trying to be athletic ...", he told 97.1 The Ticket's Stoney, Bill and Sara, but he assured everyone that he's well on his way to a full recovery. "... couple weeks I'll get this boot off ..," he added.
