Fans Can Purchase Red Wings Playoff Tickets Starting March 27

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) -- With just 11 games remaining, it's once again time to start looking toward the playoffs in Hockeytown -- for the 24th straight season.

Tickets for the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs will go on sale to the public on March 27 at 10 a.m. Red Wings fans will be able to purchase tickets for each of the team's first two potential opening-round home games against a to-be-determined opponent, most likely the Tampa Bay Lightning or Montreal Canadiens.

The Wings currently sit in third place in the Atlantic Division standings with 89 points (39-21-11) and 11 games remaining on the regular season schedule. If the team can clinch its 24th straight playoff appearance, it would extend the longest postseason streak in major North American sports (NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA).

Red Wings playoff tickets can be purchased at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-471-7575), all Ticketmaster outlets (800-745-3000) and online at DetroitRedWings.com.
