Police Searching For Suspected Serial Rapist In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are searching for a serial rapist on Detroit's east side.

Detroit Police Sergeant Cassandra Lewis says police believe the suspect has sexually assaulted several women. The latest assault happened Easter morning around 4 o'clock on the corner of Ward and Grand River.

"Our victim was a black female, she was getting into her vehicle and was approached by the suspect who forced her into her own vehicle and then sexually assaulted her," said Lewis.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 25 and 40 years old. He has a stocky build, light complexion and is clean shaven.

Lewis says the suspect then fled in either a brand new white ford Fusion or white Taurus.
