Lions Announce Preseason Opponents

CBS DETROIT - While the dates and times of most of the preseason games of the Detroit Lions have yet to be released, the team did announce the opponents for those games.

The Lions will host the New York Jets in the preseason opener, travel the next two weeks to play the Washington Redskins and the Jacksonville Jaguars, and finish the preseason slate at Ford Field against the Buffalo Bills.

The game against Jacksonville will be broadcast nationally on CBS on Aug. 28 at 8 p.m. ET.

The regular season schedule has yet to be released, but the home opponents for the season include the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers.

On the road, the Lions will face the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Rams.

Detroit will also play the Kansas City Chiefs in London in Week Eight. That game will take place Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
