DETROIT (WWJ) - Today is Tax Day and now that your wallet is a little lighter thanks to Uncle Sam, you deserve a little bit of a break.

Several restaurants in the Metro Detroit area are trying to lessen the blow this Tax Day by offering special freebies and deals.

Hard Rock Café: A free Local Legendary Burger, provided you perform your "favorite song" on stage. Offer valid all day Wednesday.

Pizza Hut: You could get a "pizza return" (Pizza Hut gift cards) based on your "P-2" paperwork. Click here to print the form and then drop it in the mail. Form open until 5 p.m. Friday; must be postmarked no later than April 18.

Boston Market: Buy one individual meal and get another free. Offer valid all day Wednesday.

McDonald's: Big Macs and Quarter Pounders are buy one, get one for just $0.01 at select McDonald's locations. Offer valid all day Wednesday.

Sonic: Half-price cheeseburgers. Offer valid all day Wednesday

White Castle: You can get 15 percent off your meal, if you have a coupon (get it here). Offer valid through Thursday.

Buca di Beppo: Get 15 percent off any purchase with coupon (get it here). Offer valid through April 19.

McCormick & Schmick's: The restaurant is extending its Happy Hour throughout the evening Wednesday. Additionally, Landry's Select Club members will receive a $10.40 refund on bills over $75.
