Disrupted Showing Of War Movie 'American Sniper' Rescheduled

ANN ARBOR (AP) - A screening of the Iraq War movie "American Sniper" at Eastern Michigan University that was disrupted by protesters has been rescheduled.

Four students were detained during the protest this month at the Ypsilanti school, but they were released without being charged. The protest happened during the second of two scheduled showings of the film based on the autobiography of Navy Seal Chris Kyle.

School spokesman Geoff Larcom says in an email the screening is 8 p.m. April 24 in the Student Center Auditorium. Larcom said a "moderated dialogue that will touch on issues raised by the movie" will follow.

In Ann Arbor, there were no organized protests during a recent screening at the University of Michigan, which waffled about whether to show the film.
