Troy Man Facing 6 Criminal Sex Charges Involving Teen He Met Online

CANTON (WWJ) - A 42-year-old Troy man is facing several criminal sex charges involving a teenager he allegedly met on the Internet.

Brett Christopher Lloyd was arraigned Saturday on six counts of criminal sexual conduct involving a victim age 13-15 years old. Five of the six charges are felonies, each punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

Canton police arrested Lloyd after an investigation that started last year, when the victim reported the incident.

It is alleged that the victim originally met Lloyd on a social media website. Other circumstances were not immediately clear.

Lloyd, who pleaded not guilty, was ordered held on a $150,000 bond or 10 percent. He's due back in Plymouth's 35th District Court on May 1.
