3-Year-Old Boy Shot In Head At Clinton Township Park

CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities say a 3-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was shot in the head at a park in Clinton Township.

The child was with an adult family friend at the time of the shooting, which happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday at Normandy Park on Little Mack Avenue, just south of Gratiot Avenue and 15 Mile Road.

The boy was taken to McLaren Hospital in Mt. Clemens and then transferred to Children's Hospital in Detroit. His current condition is unknown.

Other circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been released. No other injuries were reported.

No suspects are in custody. An investigation is ongoing.
