Walled Lake Police Search For Hit-And-Run Driver Who Critically Injured Woman

WALLED LAKE (WWJ) - Walled Lake police are asking the public for help in locating a hit-and-run driver who left a 47-year-old woman critically injured.

The accident happened around 10:40 p.m. last Saturday, May 16 on Pontiac Trail and Spring Park Drive, just east of Maple Road.

According to police, a 47-year-old woman was walking across Pontiac Trail to her home at The Crossing At Eagle Pond Apartment Complex, when she was struck by a white 2008 or 2009 Pontiac G8.

The driver then fled the scene, despite having damage to the hood and windshield of their car, according to police.

The woman suffered a broken neck, arm, leg and pelvis and is listed in critical condition.

It's unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
