DETROIT (WWJ) - Couples counseling - for your finances. Concerns about debt is top of mind for many metro Detroiters.

Mansa Musa a financial coach for the Community Development Corporation of Central Detroit Christian. They're offering free money management this month.

"One of the longest relationships we have in our life is with money," said Musa. "For many of us that relationship is often dysfunctional and stressful. It doesn't have to be that way.

"They are all feeling the same, many times they feel trapped," said Musa. "It's a tough time for them."

A recent Gallop poll shows two-thirds of married couples don't use a budget. Musa says education is a good first step to getting your finances in line.

"Where ever someone starts, that's where we'll start with them. We will walk with them toward their goals."
