Report: Tigers Looking To Trade For Starting Pitcher

The Detroit Tigers' starting pitching can easily be described -- so far -- as sub par in 2015. Now, it seems, that Dave Dombrowski is looking to fix that.

According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Tigers are shopping the market and looking for a starting pitcher to help shore their struggling rotation.

Some starting pitchers rumored to be on the trade market this season include the Phillies' Cole Hamels, Scott Kazmir of the A's, and the Reds' Johnny Cueto.

The Tigers' starters have given up 170 earned runs this season, eighth worst in the MLB. The team should get a dose of life this weekend, however, when Justin Verlander makes his first start of the season against the Indians on Saturday.

The team sent struggling right-hander Shane Greene to Triple-A Toledo on Monday. Kyle Ryan will make the start in Greene's spot on Tuesday against the Reds.
